How do I save images from websites to my family tree?

Capture photos from social media, obituaries, and genealogy sites directly to your tree.

You can save individual images without capturing the entire page:

Method 1: Right-Click


  1. Right-click on any image
  2. Select "Capture Image to GTF"
  3. The image is uploaded to your media library

Method 2: Image Picker


  1. Open the side panel
  2. Click "Pick Image"
  3. Click on any image on the page to capture it
  4. Press Escape or click Cancel to exit picker mode
Captured images appear in your GTF media library and can be attached to people in your tree.
