What is a research target and how do I use it?
Keep key details about the person you're researching visible while you browse.
A research target is a quick reference to the person you're currently researching. It keeps their key details visible in the side panel while you browse.
You can change your research target anytime as you shift focus to different ancestors.
Setting a Research Target
- Open the side panel
- Click the "Person" tab
- Click "Change" next to Research Target
- Search for and select a person from your tree
What You'll See
- Name and birth/death years
- Birth and death locations
- Parents' names
- Open research tasks for that person
